Dr. Nicole McCurbin was born and raised in Whitby, Ontario. She earned her Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology degree with a concentration in Athletic Performance and Injury Management at Wilfrid Laurier University and also pursued a double minor in Biology and Criminology. She successfully completed her Doctor of Chiropractic degree at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto, graduating cum laude.
Growing up, Dr. Nicole participated in various sports, including rep hockey, golf, soccer, skiing, and lacrosse. This firsthand experience in sports and performance has greatly enriched her treatments and exercise prescriptions during appointments. She enjoys treating a diverse range of patients, having successfully managed conditions such as sport injuries, chronic pain, acute injuries, vestibular disorders, and nerve/disc injuries.
Dr. Nicole adheres to an evidence-based approach to care that is tailored to each individual’s unique needs and values. Her certification in Neurofunctional Acupuncture from McMaster University adds an additional layer to her hands-on treatments, which may also include soft tissue therapy, joint mobilization/manipulation, cupping therapy, and athletic taping, depending on her patient’s specific needs.
When she’s not at the clinic, you’ll likely find her at the gym, playing hockey, golfing (or trying to), testing out new restaurants, or watching the Leafs game!
