MeeT DR.BOURNE

Dr. Nana-Adjoa Bourne is an Ontario registered naturopathic doctor concentrating in sports medicine, pediatrics, and pain management. As a naturopathic doctor and certified sports nutritionist, she works from the inside-out, supporting performance optimization and injury recovery alongside physical rehabilitation. Using lab analysis, supplement recommendations and prescribed high dose injectable therapies, Dr. Bourne delivers individualized care in order to reduce the use of chronic medications, decrease injury-risk and prevent acute injuries from becoming chronic problems.

Dr. Bourne’s clinical expertise in sports medicine and pain management initially stemmed from her work as a strength and conditioning specialist while studying Kinesiology at the University of Toronto. She continued honing these skills as a member of sports medicine focus shift at the Canadian College of Naturopathic medicine. She was able to gain both in-office and field experience caring for competitive and recreational athletes, first as an intern and later as a supervisor during her residency.

Whether competitive, recreational, elite level or just starting out, the goal is to support the human behind the athlete. Working with Dr. Bourne creates a roadmap to ensure your body stays healthy while continuing to do what you love. She’ll help you understand your body, so you stay strong, confident and injury free as you create and pursue your performance goals.
