Being a CD for Axis Therapy & Performance - Scarborough is not just about “managing” a clinic - it’s more than that. It’s growing with your therapists. It’s taking care of each patient one session at a time. It’s about finding and guiding new therapists to be better and reach their potential. It’s about facing challenges as a team and persevering through them. It’s about seeing the bigger picture. It’s about caring for your staff. It’s about you as a person growing because the clinic needs you to be better. It’s about pushing the needle forward. Yes, I can simply say I “manage” the Scarborough branch. But truly? My name is Rex, I am the clinic Director for the Scarborough branch and my role is to make Scarborough one of the best clinics out there by having the most amazing staff working and doing their very best and giving our patients the care that they deserve.
Becoming Lead Therapist at Axis Therapy and Performance has been both exciting and rewarding. My journey from chiropractor to leader involved significant professional growth, thanks to Axis’s focus on quality care and team development. In my first year, I took on leadership roles, led workshops, and managed projects, which accelerated my career advancement. Now, as Lead Therapist, I manage a talented team, oversee their skill development, assist with caseload building, and enhance our community connections. The challenges have been substantial, but the experience has been transformative. I’m grateful to be part of a team dedicated to innovation and impactful patient care and look forward to further growth at Axis.
I started as a Regional Coordinator at Axis Therapy and Performance because I wanted to challenge myself, grow, and make a real impact. I was drawn to a team of passionate individuals dedicated to transforming the health and wellness space. What excited me was the chance to elevate customer care and work with a dynamic group that pushes boundaries and redefines healthcare. I joined Axis Therapy and Performance as the Clinical Director to challenge myself and make a significant impact. I've been working with Axis Therapy since 2020 and have been on a constant journey of growth because of what I've been able to learn here and because of the people I've interacted with, whether it be coworkers or patients. My position as Lead Client Coordinator allows me to interact with patients on the daily as well as learn the logistics of running a clinic and managing a large team. Each team member comes from extremely diverse backgrounds which allows me to learn something new everyday. At Axis, we treat patients as if they are one of our own and like to create an environment where they are always welcomed with open arms. I have also found a place where I believe I belong and am able to make a difference each and everyday whether that be helping patients with their needs or facing new challenges with one of my team members.
I joined Axis with an idea of how I thought I would grow with the company. I’m now approaching my 2nd year here & I can safely say that the vision has changed completely in the best way possible. To have a team of individuals that believed in me so much that they saw a side of me that I didn’t even know existed was the greatest blessing.
